Dušan Raičević

President, Bar Municipality

Born on February 14, 1984, in Bar.
He completed both primary school and the “Niko Rolović” Gymnasium in Bar. In 2007, he graduated from RIT Croatia in Dubrovnik, an international campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, earning a Master’s degree in Economics with a specialization in Small Business Development.
From 2014 until August 2018, he served as Vice President of the Municipality of Bar and Acting Secretary of the Secretariat for Economy and Finance. In August 2018, he was elected President of the Municipality of Bar, and in January 2023, he was re-elected to the same position. Prior to entering public office, from 2008 to 2014, he was engaged in private business.
He served two terms as President of the Board of the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro, from April 2020 to November 2024.
From April 2021 to April 2024, during two consecutive terms, he served as Vice President of NALAS – Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe. At the 19th General Assembly held in April 2024, Raičević was elected President of NALAS.
He is also President of the Assembly of “Možura” LLC, the company managing the sanitary landfill.

He is fluent in English.
He is married and the father of one child.
