Amine Omar Tazi-Riffi

Amine Tazi-Riffi is a former Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, based in the Geneva and Zurich offices. He currently acts as an independent Advisor, Private Equity Investor, and Board Member.
Over the course of his approximately 25-year career at McKinsey, Amine advised leading institutions and governments across more than 30 countries, with a strong focus on emerging economies — primarily in the Middle East, Africa, and Central & Eastern Europe. He is the co-founder of McKinsey’s Economic Development practice and served as Regional Leader for the Public & Social Sector Practices across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He is widely regarded as McKinsey’s leading expert in economic development and sector development strategies, having led over 100 engagements. His core areas of expertise include industrial policy and foreign direct investment, tourism, infrastructure and public-private partnerships, and SME development.
He currently serves as a Senior Advisor and collaborates with private equity platforms across the Euromed and MENA regions. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of Lonrho (UK/South Africa), Orascom Development (Switzerland), and Axian/Togo Telecom.
He is a Board Member of Orascom Development, with a specific focus on Hospitality and Montenegro.
Amine holds a BSc and MSc from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), an MSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, and an MBA from INSEAD.
