Dr Nina Drakić

President, Chamber of Economy of Montenegro
Nina Drakić was born in 1980 in Podgorica. She graduated and obtained her master’s degree from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro while her doctoral dissertation she defended in 2017 at the Faculty for International Economics, Finance, and Business at the University of Donja Gorica.
In the course of her studies and after graduation, she attended numerous specialized courses and seminars and holds a license from the Securities Commission of Montenegro to perform the broker and investment manager activities, as well as a corporate governance trainer license. Furthermore, she has had several professional and study visits abroad, with her stays in Japan and Turkey standing out.
After the graduation, she was engaged for seven years on the USAID project “Montenegro’s Accession to the World Trade Organization”, providing technical assistance to the Government of Montenegro in the process of joining this international organization. In addition, she has been repeatedly engaged as an expert on projects of the World Bank, GIZ, and UNDP.
Since 2010, she has been employed at the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, where she covered different positions. In December 2021, she was appointed as the President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro. On 23rd September 2025, the Assembly of the Chamber of Economy entrusted her with a new four-year mandate. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce – Eurochambres.
Dr. Nina Drakić is an author and co-author of numerous economic analyses and has participated in the implementation of several international projects.
She is a member of several Government working bodies, representing the business community, while also having had an opportunity to contribute to the negotiations between Montenegro and the European Union as a member of the working groups for negotiating Chapters 16-Taxation and 30-External Relations. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce – Eurochambres.
